Checkout, Charges, Refunds and Payment Security
Last updated: September 24, 2026

This Payment Policy explains how payments are processed when you purchase from quieteditstore.com, including available methods, currency, order totals, payment confirmation, security checks, payment errors, refunds, and disputes.

It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Shipping and Delivery Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy, and Privacy Policy. Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits a right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

1. Payment Methods and Availability

The payment methods available to you are those displayed at checkout. Payments are currently processed mainly through PayPal.

You may pay with a PayPal account or, where checkout offers the option, with an eligible credit or debit card supported by the payment provider.

The methods shown may vary according to your location, device, account status, order details, and the payment provider’s rules. A method mentioned on the website is available only when it is offered for your transaction at checkout.

The Quiet Edit does not guarantee that every method will be available for every customer or order.

You may complete an order only for a sales and delivery destination enabled at checkout. A destination may be unavailable because of logistics, payment, tax, product, legal, or other practical restrictions.

2. Currency and Third Party Charges

Prices and payments on the website are in United States dollars (USD).

If you pay using another currency, PayPal, your card issuer, your bank, or another payment provider determines the conversion rate and any currency-conversion fee, cross-border fee, bank charge, or other third-party charge. The Quiet Edit does not control those rates or fees.

The amount charged by The Quiet Edit is the USD total shown and authorised at checkout. Your account statement may show a different amount in your local currency because of the payment provider’s conversion and fees.

3. Order Total, Taxes and Delivery Charges

Before payment, checkout will show the product amount, any successfully applied discount, any tax The Quiet Edit is legally required to collect, any optional charge, and the final amount payable.

Standard delivery to a destination enabled at checkout is included in the product price, so no separate standard-delivery charge is added at checkout.

If we later offer an optional paid delivery service or another optional paid service, its charge will be shown before payment. We will not add or collect a store-imposed charge after payment without your express agreement.

Under our current delivery arrangements, routine customs clearance is handled by The Quiet Edit and its logistics provider, and customers ordinarily do not pay a separate standard-delivery or routine clearance charge.

If an authority or carrier nevertheless requests payment, contact us first where reasonably practicable so that we can verify it. Import and customs matters are explained in our Shipping and Delivery Policy.

A bank or payment provider may separately impose its own charges under its terms.

4. Payment Time, Failed Payments and Pending Payments

When you complete checkout, the payment provider processes the payment. Unless checkout expressly states otherwise, payment is charged at that time rather than when the order is dispatched.

The order enters preparation only after payment succeeds or we receive valid payment confirmation.

If payment is declined, fails, or remains pending, the order will not enter preparation or dispatch until payment is confirmed. You may try again or use another method then offered at checkout.

Repeated attempts may create more than one temporary authorisation, so check your payment account and order records before trying again.

Placing an item in a cart and starting payment do not guarantee that stock will be reserved. An unpaid or unconfirmed order may be cancelled automatically and its stock released according to the website’s order settings.

5. Order and Payment Confirmation

An order-success page, order number, order-confirmation email, and payment-provider receipt may be used to check your order and payment record.

If your account appears to have been charged but you receive no order number or confirmation email, contact us before paying again so that we can investigate and help avoid a duplicate payment.

An automated confirmation means that the system received the order or payment information. It is not an unconditional promise that every item can be supplied.

As explained in our Terms and Conditions, an order may be paused or cancelled before acceptance because of unavailable stock, an unconfirmed or unusual payment, an obvious pricing error, an unsupported destination or address, a legal restriction, or another genuine fulfilment problem.

Any amount collected for a cancelled and unfulfilled part will be returned to the original payment method.

6. Payment Information and Security

Sensitive payment credentials are processed by PayPal or another payment provider shown at checkout.

The Quiet Edit does not directly receive or store your full card number or card security code.

We receive limited information needed to administer the transaction, such as payment status, transaction reference, amount, currency, payer or contact details, risk notifications, and refund or dispute status.

Do not send a full card number, card security code, PayPal password, online-banking password, or other payment password by email, through the Contact form, or through another ordinary message channel.

The Quiet Edit will not ask you to provide those details in that way.

7. Payment Review, Duplicate Charges and Temporary Holds

If a payment is marked as unusual, high risk, or potentially unauthorised, we may pause the order while the payment provider reviews it or while we carry out a reasonable verification.

If the payment cannot be confirmed as valid, we may cancel the order and return any amount actually collected to the original payment method.

If you believe that you were charged twice or charged an incorrect amount, contact us and provide the order number, transaction reference, and a payment record with sensitive information hidden.

After verification, any amount collected in error by The Quiet Edit will be returned to the original payment method. This does not limit a dispute right available under applicable law or the payment provider’s rules.

After a failed payment, cancellation, or refund, your account may still show a pending charge or temporary authorisation. PayPal, the bank, or the card issuer controls the release time.

We will reasonably assist with transaction information, but you may need to contact the relevant provider for the current status.

8. Pricing Errors, Coupons and Promotions

If a product price, discount, or order total contains an obvious system or data-entry error, we may pause the order before dispatch and contact you.

You may agree to continue at the corrected amount or cancel for a full refund to the original payment method. We will not charge a difference without your agreement. Mandatory law may provide additional rights.

A coupon or promotional code must be entered and successfully applied before payment. Unless the specific promotion states otherwise, a code cannot be applied retrospectively, transferred, or exchanged for cash.

Whether offers may be combined depends on the stated promotion rules and what checkout permits.

A refund is calculated from the amount actually paid for the affected product after discounts; the coupon itself has no cash value.

9. Pay Later, Payment Changes and Additional Amounts

If checkout offers PayPal Pay Later, instalments, or a similar financing service, the payment provider determines eligibility, approval, repayment terms, interest, and fees.

The Quiet Edit does not provide credit or instalment financing and does not control whether such a service is offered to you.

A completed payment cannot simply be moved to another payment method.

If the order remains eligible for cancellation, you may cancel it for a refund to the original payment method and place a new order using a method then available. Product availability, price, and promotions are determined when the new order is placed.

If we agree that an additional amount is required, for example because you choose a higher-priced replacement, we will request payment only through an official secure WooCommerce or PayPal payment link or invoice.

We will not collect full card details through email or the Contact form. The related order or replacement will proceed after the additional payment is confirmed.

10. Refunds and Currency Conversion

Eligibility for cancellation, replacement, or refund is governed by our Returns and Refunds Policy and other applicable policies.

After a refund is approved, we will initiate it as soon as reasonably practicable to the original payment method. PayPal, the card issuer, the bank, or another payment provider controls when the funds appear in your account.

A refund is issued for the applicable USD amount actually paid after discounts.

If the original payment involved currency conversion, the amount shown in your local currency may differ because the provider may use the exchange rate applicable when the refund is processed.

The Quiet Edit does not guarantee that the converted local-currency amount will match the original local-currency charge and does not control a provider’s conversion fee or exchange-rate difference, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

Where reasonably possible, contact The Quiet Edit first so that we can try to resolve a payment or order problem.

This request does not remove, shorten, or restrict a right to dispute a transaction under applicable law or the rules of PayPal, a card issuer, a bank, or another payment provider.

If a dispute or chargeback is opened, we may provide the payment provider with relevant order, communication, dispatch, delivery, and refund records.

While that process is active, we may pause a separate refund for the same transaction to avoid returning the same amount twice, unless the payment provider instructs otherwise or applicable law requires a different result.

12. Contact Us

For a payment question, duplicate-charge report, transaction check, or refund enquiry, email support@quieteditstore.com or use our Contact form.

Include your order number and, where available, the payment transaction reference. Do not include full card details or account passwords.
